Construction services expert brings proficient industry knowledge to committee
LAKE MARY, FL (July 30, 2024) – HNTB’s Sandra Bucklew, PE, Florida construction services group director and vice president, has been appointed to serve as the transportation committee chair for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida. Bucklew was appointed at the ACEC Florida Board of Directors meeting in July during the Florida Engineering Society and ACEC Florida Annual Conference. She will serve among several other industry experts on the committee to implement transportation-related activities and programs of interest to ACEC Florida members.
“I look forward to the value I can bring to the committee as transportation chair. I admire the long-standing partnership that HNTB holds with ACEC in Florida and am excited to contribute in a leadership role towards our efforts to improve transportation and engineering initiatives across the state in collaboration with the Florida Department of Transportation and other transportation agencies,” Bucklew commented. Bucklew serves as the group director and practice builder for HNTB’s construction services practice in Lake Mary. She has worked on several notable projects including the recently completed SR 100/Starke Railroad Overpass project.
Bucklew is also a member of the Florida Engineering Society and serves on the College of Engineering, Civil Engineering Advisory Board at her alma mater, Florida State University. Sandra has held roles on various committees within the Florida chapter of ACEC, most recently serving as the Construction Engineering and Inspection Subcommittee Chair.
