HNTB names David Zarowny CREATE program manager

Zarowny brings extensive strategic planning, engineering and operations experience within the rail industry, will oversee CREATE program for HNTB’s Chicago office

CHICAGO (April 15, 2022) – HNTB Corporation named David Zarowny its CREATE program manager in the firm’s Chicago office. Zarowny will ensure the successful delivery of CREATE Program and projects with the Illinois Department of Transportation as well as foster relationships with key agency and railroad stakeholders.

Zarowny brings to HNTB more than 40 years of experience overseeing facility planning, engineering, operations, and leading the design and construction of complex rail projects. Most recently, he worked for nine years as another consulting company’s senior railroad specialist where he enhanced financial and schedule tracking systems for the CREATE program in coordination with railroad and agency partners.

In his role with HNTB, Zarowny will manage and oversee delivery of current and ongoing CREATE Program with IDOT, Class 1 Railroads, Metra and the agency partners in the Chicago region. He also will coordinate with all stakeholders that partner in the CREATE program.

Zarowny received his civil engineering technology degree from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
