HNTB Corporation’s New York office named among 100 best places to work in New York City

Crain’s New York Business’ ranking includes employee confidence in HNTB’s leadership.

NEW YORK (December 10, 2019) – The New York office of HNTB Corporation, an infrastructure solutions firm, is among the 100 Best Places to Work in New York City, according to Crain’s New York Business.

The annual ranking conducted by Crain’s recognizes companies with the highest levels of employee satisfaction and engagement as measured from input to a confidential survey assessing employee attitudes toward the firm’s leadership, culture, training and work environment. An evaluation of HNTB’s corporate practices, policies, philosophy and demographics also are included in the ranking.

“We are honored to receive this accolade because it spotlights the energy and commitment of the more than 400 professionals here in New York who are the reason for our success,” said Stephen Dilts, HNTB’s New York office leader and senior vice president. “We strive to provide a collaborative work environment with opportunities for each person to achieve personal and professional growth goals. Our growth in New York is ongoing, and we continue to seek out the best people in the industry who want to work on the most exciting infrastructure projects in this region.”

“The more than 400 engineers, architects, program and construction managers, urban planners and other professionals working in New York are among 4,800 HNTB professionals in offices across the nation,” Dilts said. “We encourage our employees to pursue professional and community engagement opportunities, and many are active members and leaders in industry organizations such as Women’s Transportation Seminar, Intelligent Transportation Society of America and the American Council of Engineering Companies among others. They also volunteer their support to many organizations within our community. HNTB is indeed one of the best places to work not only in New York City but throughout the United States.”

More than 20,000 employees at New York City companies participated in this year’s survey by Crain’s. Those companies include both public and privately held organizations and span a broad range of industries and sizes.

HNTB plays an integral role in many of the region’s most important infrastructure programs, including program manager for the redevelopment of John F. Kennedy International Airport, the largest public-private aviation terminal effort in the nation. The firm also serves as construction manager for renewal and rehabilitation of multiple station facilities for New York City Transit; owner’s engineer for the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge; lead structural designer of the Kosciuszko Bridge; technical consultant for the Goethals Bridge replacement project; and the general engineering consultant for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, among many others.
