15-year D-B expert leads sales organization to target most significant alternative delivery opportunities
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 22, 2024) – HNTB Corporation announces Chad Modesitt, senior vice president, has been named Design Build sales officer. He will lead the sales organization for the firm’s Design Build practice and work closely with Design Build leadership on alternative delivery opportunities and oversee contractor relationships.
“The design-build market is growing significantly, both in the number and size of opportunities, particularly as we see progressive design build delivery in several transportation programs. Chad has been instrumental in strengthening existing partnerships with contractors and championing new relationships, leading to HNTB as their preferred lead designer for complex projects,” said Phil Brake, PE, HNTB Design Build president. “I am confident his leadership, proactive focus on strategic relationships and focus on our best business practices to achieve extraordinary results.”

Prior to this new role, Modesitt was HNTB’s Design Build Central/Western regional sales officer.
In all, Modesitt has been with HNTB for nearly 25 years. His focus for the last 15 years has been on design-build opportunities working across the firm. He’s also previously served in other leadership roles for HNTB, including Indiana office leader and project manager.
