Kevin R. Collins, PE, is a senior vice president and the New York office leader for HNTB. Collins’ 30-year career has focused on delivering transportation infrastructure projects in urban environments, specializing in passenger and light rail. He began his career in New York working on the NJ TRANSIT Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System in Newark, New Jersey, where he witnessed the power light rail had to transform communities and spur economic development. From there, he moved to Seattle to continue his passion in transit and became the office leader for HNTB’s Seattle office where he spent over 24 years leading mega-transit projects, including Sound Transit’s East Link Extension and Lynnwood Link Extension.
Collins is a member of ACEC where he serves on its Legislative Committee, and he is a member of APTA with a leadership role on the Legislative, Rail and Planning Committees. Additionally, Collins is an active member of WTS and COMTO New York where he serves on the advisory board.
