HNTB is designing the San Francisco 49ers’ new 68,000-seat stadium located at a site in the San Francisco Bay Area to be determined. Designed with many sustainable elements, the new stadium will be expandable to host premier events such as the Super Bowl. The stadium is also being designed to accommodate Major League Soccer and World Cup events. It is one of the largest stadium projects in the Northwest designed by HNTB, with University of California - Berkeley's Memorial Stadium as the other.
