HNTB provided comprehensive design services for the renovation and expansion of historic Ohio Stadium at The Ohio State University. Originally constructed in 1922, the dramatic horseshoe-shaped stadium is on the National Historic Register. HNTB designed the addition of 82 private suites, club seating, club lounge, former players lounge, new press level and a net increase of 8,000 seats. The primary goal was to address long-term maintenance issues, provide enhanced amenities and add club and suite seating to generate additional revenue. Construction occurred over a three-year period around football seasons and was completed on schedule and on budget
