HNTB was responsible for the planning and design of the redesigned terminal and consolidated concourses at McGhee Tyson Airport. Improvements included ticket counter and baggage claim hall expansions, departure lounges, baggage handling systems, administrative offices and upgraded commuter airline facilities.   The design utilizes local materials and reflects the region’s economic and natural context.
