HNTB served as the general consultant to the Florida High-Speed Rail Authority. This Authority is charged with implementing a constitutional amendment to build high-speed rail in Florida. HNTB prepared a financial feasibility study for this 90-mile project, and provided oversight for all the planning, environmental and engineering work. HNTB also prepared the procurement documents for a design-build-operate-maintain and finance contract for the first phase of the project. HNTB is assisting the Florida High-Speed Rail Authority in obtaining project approval from the Federal Railroad Administration and other public and private agencies.
