HNTB, working closely with the Kansas City District, ATSC, USACE-Huntsville HNC, PEO-STRI Ft. Riley and other key stakeholders, provided range design services for this Huntsville Engineering Support Center Pilot project. HNTB was responsible for the design of the training facility from baseline forward including targets, battle positions and 10.25 miles of range course and maintenance roads as well as 32 culverts. This project utilized the new TrueViz OnTarget® proven range optimization design process. Delivery of the both the 15% and final designs included integration of the TrueViz OnTarget® line of sight design process, complete stakeholder integration through the use of deliverables and design reviews and internet in progress reviews. Project deliverables included a complete Request for Proposal Package (plans, specifications, advertisement notice) in addition to design documentation report and others.
