HNTB designed Commonwealth Stadium’s expansion to provide a total seating capacity of approximately 67,500. The project involved adding 20,000 seats and 40 suites. Each end zone was enclosed, completing the stadium bowl. Additional improvements included spectator amenities, a new main stadium entrance, VIP lobbies and special event areas within each of the end zone suite additions.
