HNTB is one of six firms preparing engineering and environmental studies for the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s 800-mile program. HNTB performed program-level environmental and engineering studies on the Los Angeles to San Diego segment of this highspeed rail program, developing a project management plan for the segment, which included screening alignments and station locations to identify construction or operation impacts, managing the regional public outreach program, performing rail planning and exploring funding strategies. HNTB also completed environmental studies that were used to support the preparation of a statewide program EIR/EIS. Subsequently, the firm served as prime consultant for the project-level environmental studies, including the segment between Los Angeles and San Diego. Image courtesy of NC3D.
