2006 Orleans Levee/Floodwall Assessment

HNTB is performing design of temporary reinforcement of five pump station tie-in I floodwalls at Pump Station 13 in Orleans Parish where the height of the I-Wall is greater than six feet above the adjacent ground.

The work includes all geotechnical, structural and civil design and document preparation to depict the required I-Wall reinforcement, including any temporary and permanent grading and drainage alterations required for the installation of the I-Wall reinforcement. HNTB will perform all geotechnical analyses and topographic surveys, constructability investigations and quantity estimating as required to accomplish the work.

The geotechnical team is performing site reconnaissance, reviewing existing plans and information, conducting geotechnical analysis, and assisting in preparing plans, specifications and report documentation for construction of the temporary repairs. Geotechnical analysis includes evaluation of slope stability, sheetpile design and pile design.
