As lead design architect, HNTB created a world-class design image for the 1.9 million square-feet international terminal at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. HNTB created an award-winning design for all project components of Terminal D. The project includes the terminal building, a 23-gate concourse, 8,100-car parking structure, an integrated hotel, two automated people mover stations, an inter-terminal skybridge and the landside roadway configuration. The building systems boast energy-efficient features which reduce cooling costs by more than 90 percent during peak electrical demand hours.
