The Metropolitan Aviation Partners Joint Venture team, led by HNTB designed the Runway 10L Extension project. This project was the first major Runway Extension to be completed by the Chicago's O'Hare Modernization Program in 25 years. The project was delivered under budget and eight weeks ahead of schedule. The innovative approach to implementing sustainable solutions in combination with the OMP's Sustainable Design Manual is a model for large site/civil construction projects. The extension brings a positive impact to the O'Hare International Airport's operations and will reduce delays that affect passengers on a national scale.
