AREMA names Frank Miller vice chair of high-speed rail systems committee
Francis J. Miller III, PE, associate vice president and director of rail for New York metro, HNTB Corporation has been named officer and vice chair of the high-speed rail systems technical committee by the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association.
Miller, based in the firm’s Philadelphia office, is a senior track engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the planning, design, construction, inspection and project management of major railway transportation, track and facility engineering projects. Specializing in transit/railway engineering, his assignments have included major rehabilitation, design-build and new start projects for mass transportation systems throughout the United States, including light-rail and heavy-rail transit systems and commuter, high-speed and freight railroads.
He also services as a sub-committee chair on AREMA’s commuter and inner-city rail committee and recently authored new AREMA manual text for both committees.
