A time-lapse video of the HNTB-designed span lift for the network tied-arch Lake Champlain Bridge. Barges move into place the main span of the bridge and then strand jacks lift the span into place. This approach saves a great deal of time and money opening the bridge to traffic sooner while increasing safety for highway workers.
