Kansas City Star -- Missouri is receiving a share of federal high-speed rail money to improve tracks between Kansas City and St. Louis. HNTB's high-speed rail services chair, Peter Gertler, is quoted on the importance of the overall investment and how this is just the beginning. Additional investments will be needed from federal, state, local and private sources.
