NEW YORK (Oct. 28, 2009) – Mike Debiak has joined HNTB Corporation as an associate vice president and director of claims and scheduling for the firm’s New York office. Debiak brings specific expertise in program controls, earned value management and project delivery methodologies for mega-projects to area clients.

In his new role at HNTB, Debiak will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of work in the federal, municipal and private sectors. He will also bring a diverse perspective to cost, schedule, risk and quality management.

Before joining HNTB, Debiak served as the region program controls manager for Jacobs Global Buildings in which he managed a diverse portfolio of projects and supervised a program budget in excess of $3.5 billion. Prior to that, Debiak was the director of development for Jerome J. Parks Company and senior program controls manager for AECOM.

Debiak is a past director for the Construction Specifications Institute and is the chair of the Schedule Risk Sub-committee of the National Defense Industry Association. He is also a member of the Construction Management Association of America, Society of Risk Analysis International, Project Management Institute and Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering international. Debiak maintains certification as a Planning and Scheduling Professional and Earned Value Professional.
