Scott C. Hyde, RA

Scott C. Hyde, RA, has been with HNTB for the past 16 years, serves as a terminal planner, project manager, security expert and aviation technical systems leader in the Atlanta Airport office. He has more than 21 years experience in aviation architecture and terminal planning and significant experience in the planning, programming, design and renovation of airport terminals and transportation facilities.

 

His technical expertise in specialized terminal and aircraft ground service systems includes in-line and stand-alone explosives detection systems, security screening checkpoint design, baggage systems, ticket counters, passenger loading bridges, aircraft parking, apron planning, airline finishes, Customs and Border Protection facilities, flight information display systems and other specialized airport/airline equipment and systems. His project experience includes the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Chicago Midway Airport.

 

Hyde has been a member of the American Institute of Architects. He recently served on the Terminal Committee and Safety and Security committee of the Airport Consultants Council. He has made presentations on project technical overviews and emerging security technologies at several aviation workshops and summits.

 

Hyde earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Kentucky.
