Roger C. Ward, PE, BCEE

Roger C. Ward, PE, BCEE, vice president and national leader of water professional services in HNTB’s Indianapolis office, has more than 30 years of experience in project engineering and management of municipal and industrial drinking water, wastewater, watershed planning, flood and storm water management, wetlands restoration and sludge handing projects.

 

Since joining HNTB in 1974, six of Ward’s projects have won Engineering Excellence awards from the American Council of Engineering Companies. Some of his winning projects include the Fall Creek CSO In-System Storage in Indianapolis and the Charleston, W.Va. Wastewater Treatment Plan Upgrade. He was also involved in nine projects that won Engineering Excellence awards from the ACEC-Indiana. Ward has served as an adjunct professor in environmental engineering and has made 30 technical presentations to regional, national and international water and wastewater engineering conferences. He was chapter author of the Water Pollution Control Federation Manual of Practice on Process Instrumentation and Control Systems and Water Environment Federation Manual of Practice on Energy Conservation in Wastewater Treatment Facilities. Ward is serving as project leader of Engineers without Borders’ Sustainable Safe Water Supply Project in Mayanja-Kibuke, Kenya.

 

Ward has received many personal awards and recognitions, including honorary membership to the Indiana Water Environment Association and honor alumnus at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is a board certified environmental engineer and state representative for the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, is past director of the Indiana Water Environment Association and is a past trustee of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Ward holds professional registrations in six states.

 

Ward earned a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in engineering from Purdue University.
