Gregory H. Albjerg, PE, vice president and national director of airspace planning and aviation quality management based in the Minneapolis office, has developed a consistently emerging airspace practice within HNTB since coming to the firm from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1983. In addition to planning, design and construction, Albjerg provides HNTB’s aviation practice with expertise that offers clear differentiation in the areas of airfield simulation/capacity analysis, as well as Next Gen deployment and resultant carbon footprint reduction. He has been a key team member in several mega and strategic airport project pursuits, including Salt Lake City, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Anchorage, Fairbanks and Chicago O’Hare. He has been a member for 20 years of the American Association of Airport Executives and the Airport Consultants Council, where he has made numerous presentations. He also serves on two committees of the Airport Cooperative Research Program, which is part of the Transportation Research Board.
