HNTB is committed to providing resources to local small businesses. The firm developed its Partners Program 10 years ago to facilitate connections and strengthen partnerships. Since then, the program has successfully supported small, minority and disadvantaged firms around the country. The event is intended to promote opportunities to participate in future related project work and help build attendees’ large-project capabilities.

“Typically, publicly funded projects require significant representation from disadvantaged, minority-owned and women-owned businesses,” said Kevin Collins, PE, HNTB Seattle office leader and vice president. “But beyond simply adhering to mandates, firms such as HNTB are uniquely qualified to help develop these types of enterprises through mentoring, providing training, and sharing industry processes and best practices we’ve gained from our extensive experience around the country. We are able to help foster a greater inclusivity and a broader representation of the population, workforce and infrastructure community in Washington state, as well as build strong relationships with small business.”
